MS episode 125:: Victoria Findlay Wolfe

Episode 125 art for victoria finlay wolfe

Victoria Findlay Wolfe does modern classic like no other. She often takes a traditional block and puts her own modern spin on it. I remember finding Victoria’s work in her book titled Double Wedding Ring Quilts and I was blown away. She really made me see that using fabric can really make your quilts look unique. I wanted to get to know more about her dive into the sewing world, what she had going on with her fabric collections, opening up a brick and mortar store in NYC, and how she handles the juggle of it all. We also chatted about her new book that just released called Modern Quilt Magic, which is full of seriously cool projects that look harder to make than they are hence the magic part. I can’t wait for you to learn more about Victoria and if you are anything like me you won’t be able to resist checking out her shop!

  1. I really like 15 mins of Play, I can’t wait until Modern Quilt Magic is published. I have pre-ordered a copy. I have a full time job but I make several quilts in a year because I take 20-30 mins to sew in the morning before I leave for work. Along with starting my day out relaxed and creative it keeps me going through out the day and motivated to sew in the evening after dinner.
