Stephanie chats with her #QuiltMarket roomies Melissa from Sew Shabby Quilting and Suzy from Suzy Quilts. We talk about meeting up, the things we loved, our takeaways, what we would do differently next time, and well a lot of giggles. We really had a great time and learned so much about what we think of our brands and the goals we wanted to set in the aftermath. WARNING:: I am so excited and I am really loud in this episode. This isn’t the last chat about #quiltmarket, either, because I have others planned with creatives who were also there as well. So stay tuned. Click the link to listen.
I went to my first quilt retreat last year called Quilt Bliss which was so much fun. My guest today didn’t get to attend the retreat but she lives nearby and I needed a ride to the airport so I sent her a text with hopes that we could catch up. It was only several months before that we had shared a cab to the airport in Houston after Quilt Market. I can’t tell you how happy I was when she picked me up and we chatted all about our families, sewing, fabric, struggles of being in this industry met with the abundant blessing as well, the retreat, and well just about everything. I love that quilters just make me so happy and I always feel like whether we know each other or not I can always talk fabric and we will get each other instantly. This episode is a chat between two online friends who have also met in real life. Click to listen.
Laura is a modern quilting who is self taught with a thriving online shop. Laura and I chat about how she travels around the country sewing for her online shop. There are many highs and lows of owning an online shop but when you are constantly traveling and have limited space in a travel trailer. She is like a sewing powerhouse in a tiny space. I loved learning more about her process and what is to come for Vacilando Quilting Co. Click on the link in profile for the episode.
