My guest today is HollyAnne Knight from String and Story. I got to meet HollyAnne in person at Quiltcon in Savannah, Ga. We quickly start chatting all about fabric, quilts, sewing, and podcasts. She needed to charge her phone and several of us were in the podcast booth hanging out so HollyAnne joined us. That little group of amazing people in that booth watching everyone walk by us was so much fun. Maybe one of my favorite parts of the whole trip. HollyAnne is a quilter who shares her love of mastering techniques with her blog readers. She also has several new eBooks out as well. As if that isn’t enough to keep her busy she also helps with a charity that is near and dear to her heart, Quilts for Cure. You will find out all about HollyAnne and her journey into quilting in this episode. Click the link to listen.
Suzy from Suzy Quilts and I met up in Savannah, Ga to attend #Quiltcon2017. Suzy has attended Quiltcon before but this was my first time. We chat about what we loved and what we wished had been different. We also tell the crazy story of what happened with our airbnb because we hope that it will help others if they are ever in the same situation. We also talk about having a business in the sewing industry. Suzy has been an amazing friend to me since we met and we often talk about business. Okay we talk about business all of the time and I wanted to share some of our chat with you as well. It is an episode packed with so much great information.
Stephanie chats with her #QuiltMarket roomies Melissa from Sew Shabby Quilting and Suzy from Suzy Quilts. We talk about meeting up, the things we loved, our takeaways, what we would do differently next time, and well a lot of giggles. We really had a great time and learned so much about what we think of our brands and the goals we wanted to set in the aftermath. WARNING:: I am so excited and I am really loud in this episode. This isn’t the last chat about #quiltmarket, either, because I have others planned with creatives who were also there as well. So stay tuned. Click the link to listen.
I think we have all had that moment when we walk up to the sewing machine and just can’t find the creative energy. We don’t know where it went but it is not there. We walk away feeling defeated. There is also those times we have such a BIG project to tackle but need something to get the creative juices flowing. Suzy Quilts is here to help! Click on the blog post title for more info!
Suzy from Suzy Quilts attended the recent Sew Pro Convention in Chicago. I invited Suzy on the podcast to chat about some of her top take aways from the convention. She also has two blogs posts up about her thoughts on SuzyQuilts.com. Click on the post title for more…
I asked Suzy of Suzy Quilts if she would share a top 10 list with us. I didn’t give her any rules but I am going to promise you will love what she came up with! You might just have some toes tapping’ and fist pumpin’ after this! Thank you Suzy for being an amazing friend… Read More
